The evolution of technology has been developing from the use of screens to developing the interface of technology through the next generation of the application, i.e., the invisible interfaces.

The development of these new interfaces is made possible by using artificial intelligence to detect what a user wants and to act accordingly. Through this development process, we are now going to be able to have a more personal relationship with the devices we currently have.

As we move toward a future where invisible user interfaces will be the predominant interface for most applications, we can expect that the way we interact with our devices will be more like that of a human companion rather than simply as a device that we use to complete a specific task.

How Does an Invisible Interface Work?

Invisible interfaces use alternative ways to communicate with your device (such as voice, motion/walking, etc.). Instead of having buttons you touch/click, invisible interfaces allow you to control your connected device by simply moving and/or speaking. When you communicate using an Invisible interface, it provides an ‘understanding’ between the user and the device.

By leveraging AI, predictive behaviour engines allow mobile devices to predict a user's next action before the user actually completes their action.

With ambient computing, users experience computing from the surrounding environment rather than being limited to applications.
